Many years have passed since the last textbook of auxology has been published. Meanwhile new aspects have come up in modern auxology, and we need a new, modern, short, practical, and portable textbook for students, field workers, and everybody who is interested in all the recent advances in this discipline. And we need appropriate statistical tools to be approached in the internet. I.e. we need something that is both a book and a webpage. Wiley is interested to help us publishing such a project. In November we will focus on the diversity in auxology, with particular emphasis on practicability and modern statistical approaches, and we will contribute both for our Soiree and for the book. We will also talk about new aspects of developmental tempo – there are interesting findings in the history of menarcheal age. And we prepare a new cooperative Egyptian-German-Austrian longitudinal study on growth and development in the Oasis Siwa. With contributions of:
